Nanoscience I-IV 2011-2012

Nanoscience I

General Information

27. 10. 2011

Course timetable is now available for Nanoscience II .

12. 8. 2011

The nanoscience courses will be held this year in similar fashion as last year. Note that the timetable is preliminary and may change.
Therefore please check this page for updates.

12. 10. 2011

Exams will be in two days:
Mon 24.10 at 13-17, in Exactum B123
Tue 1.11 at 9-13, in Chemicum A129
You can choose any day you like. Good luck!
PS. The exam consists of definition questions and short essay questions, that may be based on describing a picture. The questions require at most basic (high-school level) mathematical knowledge. You are allowed to bring one A4 single-sided fully handwritten page of notes with you

Course Description

Nanoscience is a rapidly developing field in a variety of scientific disciplines. This implies that the most interesting nanoscale events take place in the interface of these different disciplines. For this reason a new teaching program covering fields from physics to biology is established. Students from different disciplines aiming at their masters or doctoral thesis are encouraged to take part in the lectures. The Introductionary Part I is suitable for all undergraduate students and part II for master's or doctoral students.
