International Symposium on Seasonal Snow and Ice 2012

We are pleased to invite you to the International Symposium on Seasonal Snow and Ice in Lahti, Finland, 28 May to 1 June, 2012.
Lahti is a small town (100,000 inhabitants) in the southern side of the Finnish Lake District, best known as one of the winter sport centres in Europe. The participants can enjoy the northern white summer nights.
The symposium, hosted by International Glaciological Society and co-sponsored by the Deparment of Physics, University of Helsinki and Micro-Dynamics of Ice (MicroDICE) network of European Science Foundation, will be held at the Congress & Concert Centre Sibelius Hall in Lahti (Ankkurikatu 7). The location of Lahti is 100 km north of Helsinki, and there are excellent train and bus connections to Lahti from Helsinki centre and airport.
